INFINITY RESIDENTIAL  |  Edgewater, New Jersey

Located in a historic 'neighborhood' district, this project's challenge was to make a 100 unit residential building work aesthetically within the local fabric while invigorating a street which currently houses numerous obsolescent uses.  The solution was to create a lower, longer building to maintain views from neighboring properties above and to preserve the low to mid-rise character of the district.  The building is broken into pieces that create the look of a smaller scale project and add diversity and interest to the streetscape while reducing the percieved heieght of the project.  Retail areas on the ground floor serve two functions by camouflaging the parking beyond and strengthening the pedestrian neighborhood that is further reinforced by the introduction of two public parks flanking the building which provide a respite for both residents and neighbors.  Construction completed in 2014.
